The Old Cats at Home
Some readers have complained about the marked drop off in posts lately. Unfortunately, I'm having to reach for material now that Claude and Aynee are generally getting along, although I did manage to capture Claude in an intimate moment with my crocheted afghan yesterday:

In lieu of not having any new cat wrestling footage to show you, here are some new pictures of the garden.
The peppers are really producing and a few tomatoes have started to set on.

The sunflowers are all in bloom now. I had a better picture of all of them, but I accidentally deleted it, and today they are sad and drooping from the heat and not very photogenic.

My neighbor gave me some rose moss, and I planted it in the boxes where the lettuce was after it got too hot for the greens. I put some hens and chicks in with it, and one of them flowered after the big rain storm we had a couple of weeks ago.

And finally, today's harvest: four banana peppers and one, tiny, stubby carrot that I accidentally pulled up while weeding. Not pictured: a jalepeno pepper already consumed at lunch.

Boxes: A Story in Two Acts
Once there was a cat who sat in a box that his alcoholic caregiver brought home from the liquor store.

And then along came the other cat in the house, who likes to act all put-upon but really is the cause of plenty of conflict herself if you ask me.

And this cat was a real pain-in-the-ass, frankly, to the cat in the box.

Fast forward to one day later. The Incident of the Wine Box is long forgotten, or so we believe...
Princess Pretty (as she prefers to be called) has decided to crawl into M.'s computer box, which is very bad to begin with, but things go from bad to worse when Mr. Ping (as he prefers to be called) decides to teach her a lesson.

Who's stuck in the box now, huh?

Luckily, a helpful human came along to make Mr. Ping move, and P.P. was able to escape unharmed.

The end.
